Is Life Coaching Right For Me?

I  know when I first thought I might have a problem with drinking my only option was to attend a local AA chapter.  I am a huge supporter of AA – for alcoholics.  You probably don’t know, aren’t convinced of, and just not ready to assume the identity Alcoholic..  There is no “alcoholic” test you can take that will give you an absolute yes or no.

You have probably been on diets most of your life and no matter what size you have been – never had peace.  I know even when I was 123lbs I still thought, “If I could just lose 5 more pounds everything will be perfect”.

I  have developed a great and powerful process that has helped many release their obsessive thinking about dieting and drinking.  Freedom at last.

I have found having truth-telling conversations, active awareness, and being intentional with taking action changes everything.


What To Expect

Phase One: Conscious Drinking/Eating

Week One: Assessment

Our first session can run as long as 90 mins.  It will be the only session where we will predominately be discussing alcohol/food.  Once we have entered into an agreement to move forward the work begins.  I will send you a worksheet that I will need you to complete and return to  me no later than 24 hours prior to your first session.   We will be discussing the findings and perhaps go a little deeper than you could on your own.  By the end of this session we will have a greater awareness of the role alcohol plays in your life currently.  You will know I got your back and rooting for you 100%. 

Week Two and Three: Assessments with Active Awareness

The Assessment has revealed to us some truths (or at least some beginnings of truth).  I want you to understand that if you have been using alcohol/food as a vice to cope it’s because you’re probably a survivor.  And survivors are great at playing roles and doing what it takes to keep on keeping on.  During the next few weeks we will be observing, taking notes and asking questions to give you greater insight to You.  Weekly assignments completed and returned before our weekly call will enable us to reap the rewards of a highly valuable and productive call advancing you forward.

Week Four: Advance

You have done a lot of work.  I know it can be scary, unnerving and unsettling.  I’ve been where you are. Only there was no one that had been where I was that didn’t follow traditional path of recovery.  You will know by this week what strategy is best for you to move forward.  You will have brilliant answers to questions only you can answer and now you have the information and wisdom to answer confidently.

You will end this phase with a clear and concise plan that will suit your specific needs and give you the best shot at living in peace with food and/or alcohol.

  • Am I alcoholic/food addict or have I developed an unhealthy reliance on alcohol/food, habit, coping method?
  • Do I need traditional recovery or will my new found awareness and tools support me enough to make necessary healthful changes?
  • Can I drink in moderation or is abstinence best?
  • If choosing abstinence – is it temporary or a permanent lifestyle change?

And possibly more important…

  • Who am I now?
  • What do I want in life?
  • Who do I want to be-come?  Be= I AM (to exist), Come=moving forward

You will not be asked to quit or change your drinking/eating habits.  If you do decide to quit or change it will be at your own discretion and in the best interest of the life you choose to live.
